Gifts for Dad ➔

Written by Lana Hoffschneider @ CommonGround Nebraska

Since you're probably ill of leftover turkey by now – fourth dimension to cook some BEEF! Ane of my best favorite meals to melt & eat (which don't always go together!) is roast beef. Why? Considering it'due south succulent, easy, and makes for GREAT leftover options! I oftentimes find that I wish my roasts were bigger so that I had more left!

Pot Roast

In example roast isn't a staple in your family… here are the basics for making a roast.

Put roast in crock pot, with a little fleck of water. Turn to low. Cook all day. Can't get much simpler than that! I do like to add together a few things, which I think really brand it super yummy. I add a bundle of dry onion soup mix – just dump the packet on top of the roast. I as well like to add ane/2 bag of baby carrots and 5-vi peeled and cutting potatoes. That makes a whole meal right at one time!

Now for the leftovers…if you're lucky enough to accept some! The other dark, I tried a quick and elementary beefiness and noodles. My family unit LOVED it. Two thumbs up and make information technology again!

Simple ingredients uncomplicated to make!

Leftover Beef & Noodles

Ingredients
Leftover roast (see roast recipe to a higher place)

one pkg egg noodles

1 xv oz can of beef goop (or water and beefiness burgoo)

Corn starch

Directions

1. Eddy the egg noodles according to the package, then bleed.

two. Cut the roast beefiness into bite size pieces, then put the pieces into a saucepan on low oestrus. Add together the can of beef broth. Stir.

3. Add corn starch to thicken to your preference.

4. Add together noodles to your beef mixture.

five. Stir. Serve. Eat!

And corn is a great side dish… or mixed in, as you tin see. J  Nosotros put corn in everything here!

Other ideas for leftover roast:

  • Hot beef sandwiches – on a slice of bread with mashed potatoes on the side
  • Philly sandwiches – put on a hoagie, melt a slice of cheese, maybe add some sautéed onions & light-green peppers
  • Beef stew
  • BBQ beefiness sandwiches – merely add bbq sauce to seize with teeth size pieces, so heat

What practice you practice with your leftover roast beef?
